Designed for the human brain

Natural Directionality applies the findings of extensive research into the workings of the human auditory system to return wearers to a more natural way of prioritising sounds both inside and outside the directional beam. It exploits the fact that the brain has an unmatched ability to receive and instantly prioritise input from any source, by using one ear for focus while the other emphasises peripheral awareness.

This key insight underlies computations performed by Aventa™ fitting software. Aventa prepares each instrument in a binaural pair to receive different signals optimised for the individual wearer’s natural hearing. The auditory system itself then takes over, subtly prioritising side or rear signals over speaker-in-front focus whenever necessary or desirable.
